| Garry Skakun-General Manager |
Garry began his Honda Red Deer career in 1995 as a sales manager and is currently the general manager of the entire operation. Garry believes that long term customer relationships are built upon a foundation of trust and communication; he has centered his entire career upon that basic belief. Garry knows that successful sales are based upon an ability to listen to people in order to fully understand what clients really want to purchase. He has also never taken his customers' trust lightly and believes in an honest and straightforward approach to automotive sales, because that is the only way to build strong client relationships. The final piece of the puzzle for Garry is the staff at Honda Red Deer. He is confident that he can count on them to deliver the high standards of service promised to Honda Red Deer customers and is very appreciative of their efforts. Garry's business and leadership abilities have steered him into several roles, including a two year stint as president of the Red Deer Motor Dealers' Association. He was an active member of the Piper Creek Optimist Club, as well as and appointed member of the Honda Canada advertising committee for the Alberta and Prairie zones. Those who know Garry well are aware of his great sense of humor, however many people would be surprised to learn that he is a wizard in the kitchen and spent many years in the catering business. But Garry would be the first to admit that his greatest achievements are his strong bonds with his family and friends. Loyalty, trust and honesty matter a great deal to Garry in business and life.
