Garry began his Honda Red Deer career in 1995 as a sales manager and is currently the general manager of the entire operation. Garry believes that long term customer relationships are built upon a foundation of trust and communication; he has centered his entire career upon that basic belief. Garry knows that successful sales are based upon an ability to listen to people in order to fully understand what clients really want to purchase. He has also never taken his customers' trust lightly and believes in an honest and straightforward approach to automotive sales, because that is the only way to build strong client relationships. The final piece of the puzzle for Garry is the staff at Honda Red Deer. He is confident that he can count on them to deliver the high standards of service promised to Honda Red Deer customers and is very appreciative of their efforts.
 
Garry's business and leadership abilities have steered him into several roles, including a two year stint as president of the Red Deer Motor Dealers' Association. He was an active member of the Piper Creek Optimist Club, as well as and appointed member of the Honda Canada advertising committee for the Alberta and Prairie zones.
 
Those who know Garry well are aware of his great sense of humor, however many people would be surprised to learn that he is a wizard in the kitchen and spent many years in the catering business. But Garry would be the first to admit that his greatest achievements are his strong bonds with his family and friends. Loyalty, trust and honesty matter a great deal to Garry in business and life.

23 years in the automotive sales profession has given Doug Brown a wealth of experience that serves him very well in his current role as a Honda Red Deer sales manager. Amy Larsen was an assistant manager in the men's clothing retail trade prior to her career in the automotive sales industry at Honda Red Deer, so she understands sales and service principles. Amy brings a female perspective to the automotive sales trade, as well as a relaxed and caring style to the Honda Red Deer sales team. Amy is also a Certified Honda Sales Consultant and won a Honda Canada National Civic Presentation contest. Amy has been with Honda Red Deer for 8years.

The automotive industry seemed like an excellent fit for Melanie because she has always been interested in vehicles. She has been a sales consultant for the past five years and began her sales career at a Stettler General Motors dealership. The long commute and an opportunity to sell quality Honda products brought Melanie into the Honda Red Deer family. Melanie has been with Honda Red Deer for 4.5 years.
 
Melanie has a health and fitness background that includes personal trainer and ten years as a dietary technician prior to her new career in automotive sales. She has a wealth of Honda product knowledge and very strong people skills, but she might employ her trainer skills and make customers jog around the building or do push-ups if they go elsewhere for a vehicle. She also has a great sense of humor.

Arthur (Art) Ellis is a long time Central Alberta resident who joined the Honda Red Deer sales team in January 2007 after fourteen years as a sales consultant with Chrysler. He has a farm background as well as journeyman tickets in the automotive and heavy duty mechanic fields, so it should come as no surprise that Art likes to build solid customer relationships one detail at a time. Art comes from a background where hard work was the key to success and he brings that same attitude to his relationships with his customers. Art has been with Honda Red Deer for 7 years.

Joel Letwinetz brings a wealth of sales and customer service experience to the Honda Red Deer Sales Team. He has sold a variety of products that range from retail, to boats and recreational vehicles, as well as life insurance and vacuum sales. Joel understands the customer/sales dynamics and uses his strong background in sales every day at Honda Red Deer.
 
Joel's outside interests include a little free-spirited guitar playing, cooking, and time with his dog (and best friend) Bryo - a name Honda may just have borrowed from Joel for a Honda Product sold in India. Joel has been with Honda Red Deer for 2 years, and Acura of Red Deer for 1 year.

She moved to Red Deer in 2010 from Nanaimo, BC where she had a reputation for being a great singer, with the ability to gain the attentions of large audiences all across the island. She takes the skills she learned on the stage and translates them into key personal skills on the sales floor.

Pete Vandermeer is highly regarded by his peers and customers as an expert in the automotive diagnostic field. Pete can draw from his 45 years of experience in the automotive industry, the last 28 of them as a go-to guy and leader in the Honda Red Deer service department. He is well-known for his ability to solve any automotive problem and has earned the unofficial title of a walking Honda Encyclopedia for his expertise. Pete is one of the reasons that Honda Red Deer takes so much pride in our service department because he cares about his work, his customers and his fellow staff.
 
Pete even works on cars during his spare time as part of his muscle car hobby interests, plus he enjoys camping when he is not working on vehicles. Honda Red Deer is very proud to have this highly accomplished auto technician on our team.

Scott moved to Red Deer from Calgary where he spent 27 years in the automotive industry. His experience comes from a variety of dealerships including Chrysler, Hyundai, Saturn and Toyota. Scott comes to us from Kal Tire where he spent 4 years and ended as a Store Manager in Calgary. A wealth of experience and knowledge has been acquired over the years and Scott is eager to assist the Service Customers of Honda Red Deer to ensure their vehicles are properly maintained and in the best possible condition for their driving enjoyment and the safety of their passengers. In his spare time, you will find him either golfing in the spring/summer or skiing in the winter. Scott has been with Honda Red Deer for 2 years.

There is no easy road to quality automotive detailing. It requires hard work and dedication to do an excellent job on every vehicle and these are qualities that Cordell Martens brings to his role as Reconditioning Department Manager at Red Deer Honda. Cordell leads by example with his strong work ethic and pride in his finished product with every vehicle. Two and a half years working in a parts store proved very valuable to Michelena Sanford when she started at Honda Red Deer. The experience she gained made it possible for her to be promoted to Service Adviser within a few short months. Mich also enjoys the rapport she develops with her customers and looks forward to cultivating these relationships built on the trust she strives to earn with each visit. Michelina has been with Honda Red Deer for 2.5 years.
 
Residing in the sunny town of Sylvan Lake, she can often be found relaxing on her deck with a smoothie in hand, catching some sun and reading a good book, or enjoying some time at the lake. In the winter seasons she enjoys skating, ice fishing and sledding.

Liz has enjoyed her career as a service adviser with Honda Red Deer since 2009 after a move west from Bridgewater Nova Scotia in 2008. The automotive industry has given Liz an opportunity to work in a field that caters to her interests that include driving cars, working on cars, and men.
 
The label of tomboy may well apply to Liz, but she takes much more pride in her role as a mother of two beautiful children. Liz achieved the highly coveted award of "Employee of the Year" in 2011.

The real estate industry is very challenging and equally rewarding. A highly developed sense of customer service is necessary in order to be successful. Darrin's background includes twelve years as a realtor and he brings with him a vast understanding of customer expectations and the skill to exceed them. He can be trusted to advise you of your vehicle's service needs because he thoroughly understands what satisfies his customers.
 
Darrin is excited about the future and a long career with the Honda family. Darrin has been with Honda Red Deer for 1.25 years. Speaking of family, Darrin has two wonderful children-Blade, 2, and Cruze (1 month). He is very involved in the community being a member of the Piper Creek Optimist Club of Red Deer since 2000. When he has a spare moment you'll find Darrin at the golf course.

Charlie Peterson brings a 35 year career as a professional driver to his Honda Deer Deer shuttle driver position. He delivered everything from milk to nuts during his previous employment in the distribution business and brings his excellent people skills to his job at Honda Red Deer. Charlie was awarded Honda Red Deer's 2009 Employee of the Year honors in recognition of his job performance. Charlie has been with Honda Red Deer for 3.25 years.

Steve Duffin has spent a total of 39 years in the automotive industry with portions of that long career that extend back to 1975 when he began as a Honda Red Deer employee. Steve's trademark philosophy has always been that team work, long hours and hard work are an absolute necessity for quality customer service and success as a parts manager. Steve had been with Honda Red Deer for 11 years.
 
Steve enjoys time with his three wonderful children, camping, hockey and drag racing during his spare time. He also volunteered as a firefighter and medic during his off-hours for 6 years.

Mickey Lovig was voted employee of the year by her peers for 2007. Congratulations Mickey! Mickey has been with Honda Red Deer for 12.5 years.

Pamela brings a strong background in human resources to her current role as Customer Liaison/Human Resources Manager at Honda Red Deer. Her initial experience in this field was a position with a personnel agency that specialized in sales job placements within the pharmaceutical and agricultural industries.
 
This was followed by a ten year stint with an agency that sought to find job opportunities for hearing-impaired adults. Pam then took a position with Employment Placement and Support Services prior to her current role at Honda Red Deer.
 
The basic goal for Pam has always been the same: find the right person for the right job. Pam meets a very diverse group of people who would like to work at Honda Red Deer and she has to determine whether the person is a good fit with the high employee standards expected at Honda Red Deer. The company has built its sterling reputation with quality Honda products and excellent Honda Red Deer employees. It is a reputation that is vitally important to Honda Red Deer's future success and it is Pam's responsibility to maintain these high standards of customer satisfaction in her other role as a liaison between Honda Red Deer employees and its clients.
 
Pam is a wife and very supportive mother of two children who enjoys her time at the lake, golf and travels with her husband. She is also a published author of both fictional and non-fiction literature.

Melissa began her Honda Red Deer career in 2010 after a stint as a receptionist at another dealership that introduced her to the automotive industry in 2008. She is very happy with her accounts payable/receivable position because the work, environment and people at Honda Red Deer. Melissa also loves the current and future challenges of her job as she learns something new about the automotive business every day at Honda Red Deer. Melissa spends her leisure time with her husband and their three dogs going for walks, relaxing, and watching movies together.

Starting out as Honda Red Deer's Receptionist, Tamara has moved to our Administrative department. Her staff nickname is "Smiley" and it is a big part of her cheerful approach to her job. It has been said that you only get one chance to make a good first impression, and this is a message that Tamara brings to work every day at Honda Red Deer.
